Tri-County Hearing Panel #82 found John guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Neglected a client’s legal matter
  2. Failed to communicate with client
  3. Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  4. Provided financial assistance to client in connection with pending litigation
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Attorney Disciplinary Board punished John by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
 
As we speak (ca. March 2013), John continues to practice in the Troy, Michigan area, which is a suburb of Detroit.
