Attorney Subodh Chandra of Cleveland; apologist for loser attorneys

The state of Ohio presented Subodh Chandra with a law license in 1998 after he graduated from Yale University Law School.

Chandra was previously employed as the Cleveland City Law Director. Chandra involved himself in an ongoing battle between attorneys hired by the City of Cleveland and there attempt to join the Teamsters Union. For more info on this matter, go to the URL listed at the end of this article.

Chandra felt compelled to file a brief on behalf of these lawyers wherein he attested to the effect that low salaries impact on department morale. Subodh endorsed the movement to organize and said that ensuring fair compensation will help keep the “best and brightest” attorneys from fleeing the city for private sector jobs.” (Leila Atassi, Cleveland Plain Dealer)

The table below clearly demonstrates that none of these so called “best and brightest” attorneys are about to flee for private sectors jobs. The problem with Chandra’s argument is that, no self-respecting law firm in the Cleveland area was or is about to offer these folks a job that pays more than what they’re being paid now.

Hopefully, these whining City attorneys have fully reimbursed Chandra for the cost of the industrial strength knee pads he purchased to argue on their behalf.

And lastly, when I lived in Columbus, Ohio, I had an occasions to personally meet with Chandra when I reported to him that a sitting Ohio Supreme Court Justice had defrauded the City of Cleveland by billing it for travel expenses. In fact, I provided Chandra with public records that proved beyond all doubt that several thefts had taken place.

Even though the evidence was irrefutable and proved several felonies, Chandra was more concerned about his political status then he was in abiding by the oath he took as a prosecutor. Therefore, the miscreant that stole funds from Cleveland was given the proverbial pass.

As we speak (ca. March 2013), Chandra practices with the Chandra Law Firm, LLC at 1265 West 6th Street in Cleveland, Ohio.
