The state of California provided Edna Thomas Brennan with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from Harvard University Law School.
The California Bar Court found Edna guilty of the following misconduct.
In one matter, Edna was hired by two clients to represent them in an unlawful detainer (landlord dispute) action brought against them. The interests of Edna’s two clients (victims) were in direct conflict with his. In addition, Edna failed to obtain the required written informed consent from his clients to continue his representation of them.
As one would suspect, this wasn’t Enda’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He was previously presented with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license for engaging in a variety of misconduct.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California Bar Court punished Edna by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 18-month suspension of his law license.
In truth, the comedians sitting on the California Bar Court didn’t actually mete out any meaningful punishment to Edna.
As we speak (ca. March 2013) Edna practices with the Law Office of Edna Brennan at 105 Walnut Avenue in Santa Cruz, California.
