The state of California provided Donald Charles Schwartz with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from Georgetown University of Southern California (USC) Law School.
The California Bar Court found Donald guilty of the following misconduct.
In one matter, Donald was hired to represent a couple in a personal injury matter. The matter subsequently settled for $61,000 and was paid in two installments.
The couple disputed the amount of legal fees Donald was entitled to and demanded an itemized account which he failed to provide.
The comedians sitting on the Bar Court mitigated Donald’s misconduct by buying into his hyperbolic (BS) defense that during the time of his misconduct he suffered emotional difficulties.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California Bar Court punished Donald by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 30-day suspension of his law license.
In truth, the comedians sitting on the California Bar Court didn’t actually mete out any meaningful punishment to Donald.
