Attorney Jerry Stollings of Columbus, OH; lying Dufus

The state of state of Ohio presented Jerry Chad Stollings with a law license in 2001 after he graduated from Toledo University Law School.

Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court found Jerry guilty of the following misconduct.
  • Failed to carry out a contract of employment
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonest or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on Jerry’s fitness to practice law
In one matter, Jerry was hired to represent a client in a civil lawsuit; however, he failed to file a required notice to preserve the lawsuit after receiving a court notice that his client’s suit would be dismissed if the notice was not received.

After Jerry failed to file the required notice, and after being notified by the court that his client’s case had been dismissed, Jerry did not advise the client of the dismissal.

Rather than act like a man and tell his client the reason for the dismissal, Jerry the Liar sent the client a series of false and misleading communications to the client over the next 14 months suggesting that his case remained active.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Jerry by gifting him with a complimentary 180-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2013) Jerry practices at 3001 Oldham Road in Columbus, Ohio.
