Judge Douglas Horton of Mexico, NY; bully

Judge Douglas sits as a Justice of the Mexico Town Court, Oswego County, New York.

The New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct found Judge Horton guilty of the following misconduct.

Douglas was involved in a physical altercation with his longtime girlfriend. During a Mexico Town Volunteer Department annual dinner at a local restaurant, Douglas became involved in an argument with her and grabbed her in the foyer of the restaurant.

Douglas then pushed her, causing her to fall to the floor. A witness to the incident called 911 and the state police came to the restaurant.

Because Judicial Misfits are held to a much lower standard then everyone else, no criminal charges were filed against Douglas the Bully.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Commission punished Douglas by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Douglas’ term on the Justice Court expires on December 31, 2013. Hopefully, the voters will send him packing!
