The Indiana Commission on Judicial Qualifications filed the following misconduct charges against Lisa.

The Commission has accused Lisa of having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a defendant she represented while practicing law.
Lisa had a physically intimate relationship with a 26-year-old client. Lisa was appointed as public defender for the client who later pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 30 years in prison relating to his filing of an appeal.
After sentencing, the client was sent to Miami Correctional Facility. While serving time, Lisa developed a personal relationship with the convict. She gave him art books, made cash deposits into his prison account, sent him personal emails and completed bible study with him.
Lisa then began kissing the convict. She kissed him on at least three occasions and in one instance sat on his lap while kissing him. (Prison version of a lap dance) The kissing, etc. took place in the attorney-client visitation rooms at the prison.
Lisa was also charged with engaging in “excessive fondling with intent to sexually gratify over the clothing.” What in the hell is “excessive fondling?” My bad, I get it now!
The Supreme Court can either dismiss the misconduct charges against Lisa or impose sanctions ranging from reprimand to permanently being banned from ever holding a judicial office in
Given the rather sad record of disciplining Judicial Misfits by the Indiana Supreme Court, I’m betting they’ll punish Lisa by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (ca. February 2013), Lisa practices law with the Leeman Law Office at 412 East Broadway in
On its self-serving website at www.leemanlaw.com, there is no mention of Lisa’s misconduct as aforementioned. Apparently, attorney Kelly Leeman, the senior partner opted to secrete this relevant information so as to not limit the firm’s future victim pool.
