Attorney Francis Yono of West Bloomfield, MI; ethical misfit

The state of Michigan provided Francis F. Yono with a law license in 2003.

The Attorney Discipline Board, Tri-County Hearing Panel #66 found D. Francis guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Conduct exposed legal profession/courts to contempt or reproach

In one matter, Francis represented the buyer of a convenience store business. However, Francis failed to disclose at the closing that his client had executed a security agreement three days prior to the closing which granted a lien against the assets of the business.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Francis by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2013), Francis practices with Yono & Associates PLLC at 7125 Orchard Lake Road in West Bloomfield, Michigan, which is an upscale suburb of Detroit.
