Attorney Matthew Nielsen of Salt Lake City; convicted druggie

The state of Utah presented Matthew G. Nielsen with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from Brigham Young University Law School.

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme Court found Charles guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Violated or attempted to violate Rules of Conduct by knowingly assisting or inducing another to do so, or doing so through the acts of another
  2. Committed a criminal act adversely reflecting on his honesty and trustworthiness
  3. Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  4. Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law
  5. Matthew pleaded no contest (guilty in effect) to forging prescriptions for controlled substances.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Matthew by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

It must be comforting for the folks living in Salt Lake City to know that there is yet another convicted criminal practicing law in their area compliments of the comedians sitting on the Utah Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. December 2012) Matthew practices at 136 South Main Street in Salt Lake City, Utah.
