Attorney Shawn Turner of Salt Lake City; ethical dwarf

The state of Utah presented Shawn D. Turner with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from Brigham Young University Law School.

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme Court found Charles guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Engaged in the unauthorized practice of law
  2. Violated or attempted to violate Rules of Conduct by knowingly assisting or inducing another to do so, or doing so through the acts of another
In on matter, Shawn hired a paralegal for his office that he thought was a retired California attorney. Shawn then allowed the paralegal to perform legal services despite the fact that he absolutely knew he wasn’t licensed to practice law in Utah.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Shawn by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. February 2013) Shawn practices with Turner & Stamos LC at 5383 South 900 East in Salt Lake City, Utah.
