Attorney Daniel Weiss of Detroit; ethical elf

The state of Michigan provided Daniel S. Weiss with a law license in 1979.

A disciplinary hearing panel found Weiner guilty of the following misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Weiner by gifting him with a complimentary two-year period of probation.

Daniel pleaded no contest (guilty) to a criminal charge that he made a cash contribution to a public official in an amount in excess of $20.00. Obviously, Daniel was aware of the law prohibiting such conduct. Apparently, he decided to not avail himself of the defense of “ignorance of the law.”

As we speak (ca. February 2013) Daniel continues to practice in the Detroit area.
