Attorney Aline Martinian of Brockton, MA; ethical misfit
The Massachusetts Supreme Court presented Aline Z. Martinian with a law license in 1998.
The Board of Bar Overseers found Aline guilty of the following misconduct.
In one matter, Aline filed several documents with the probate court on behalf of the husband seeking a divorce between a husband and wife. Several of the documents included the following:
Subsequently, Aline appeared in the probate court on the divorce and was questioned by the judge concerning the wife’s statement. Aline responded by saying that the wife was told that her firm “would help her as well.”
The judge then denied the wife’s “motion of waiver of appearance” and entered a judgment of dismissal of the joint petition for divorce, as well as an order of disapproval of the agreement submitted by the parties, “based on Aline representing both parties.”
As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Overseers punished Aline by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (February 2013) Aline practices with the Office of Albert E. Grady at 226 Montello Street in Brockton, Massachusetts.
