The state of California provided Richard Alan Brubaker with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from Southwestern University Law School in Los Angeles, which is a 3rd tier school dedicated to accepting losers that were rejected by mainline schools like UCLA, USC, UC Davis, Pepperdine or Stanford.
The California Bar Court found Richard guilty of misconduct on two separate occasions as set forth below.
In four separate cases, Richard failed to appear at scheduled court hearings or case management conferences. As a result of Richard’s gross incompetence and negligence, all four of his clients’ cases were dismissed by the trial court.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California Bar Court punished Richard by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 2-year suspension of his law license. In truth, the comedians sitting on the California Bar Court didn’t actually mete out any meaningful punishment to Richard.
