Attorney John H. Cordrey of Georgetown, DE; repeat offender

The state of Delaware presented William M. Chasanov with a law license in 1974 after he graduated from Georgetown Law School.

The Delaware Supreme court found John guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  2. Failed to reasonable inform clients of status of legal matter
  3. Failed to expedite client’s litigation
  4. Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  5. Failed to abide by client decisions concerning objectives to be achieved
In one matter, John represented clients in the Court of Chancery involving an alleged fraudulent conveyance of real property. Subsequently, John failed to respond to discovery requests and to motions to compel responses to discovery and for default judgment.

As a result of John’s gross negligence, a default judgment was entered against his clients and their property was sold at a sheriff’s sale.

As one would suspect, this wasn’t John’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. John previously received three (3) complimentary admonitions from the comedians sitting on the Delaware Supreme Court.

As a consequence of his misconduct, apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Delaware Supreme Court punished John by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. January 2013) John practices at 16 South Front Street in Georgetown, Delaware.
