Attorney Michael Butler of Chicago; crook The state of Illinois presented Michael Peter Butler with a law license in 1994.
The Disciplinary Commission found Michael guilty of the following misconduct.
While he was employed as a partner in a Chicago law office of a New York based law firm, Michael billed his firm’s corporate client $100,000 for work he falsely claim to have done while defending a federal employment discrimination claim.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Michael by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.
Because Attorney Misfits in Illinois are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Michael was never criminally charged for fraud.
As we speak (ca. January 2013) Michael is employed with the U.S. Social Security Administration ODAR at 200 West Adams Street in Chicago, Illinois.
