Texas State Rep. Steve Toth: Today’s “Lunatic” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Texas State Rep. Steve Toth
Today’s “Lunatic” Award Winner

Steve succeeded in duping the voters in the Dallas area into electing him as their state representative in November 2012.

In an effort to cement his status as one of America’s Premier Lunatics, Steve decided to take action in regards to Obama’s plan to implement and/or seek congressional legislation to ban assault weapons and high-capacity gun magazines. In addition to being a Certified Lunatic, Steve is also a total moron.

Steve the Loon recently announced that he plans to introduce legislation in the Texas legislature that would make any federal law banning assault weapons or limiting the size of gun magazines unenforceable in the state of Texas. Anyone who tried to enforce a federal ban on assault weapons or gun magazines would face felony charges under The Loon’s proposed legislation.

In a recent interview with radio station 1200 WOAI, Steve said, “If a federal official comes into the state of Texas to enforce the federal executive order, that person is subject to criminal prosecution.” Obviously, Stevie missed his calling as a Standup Comedian!

It’s pretty obvious that this Moron (my apologies to morons) didn’t do well when and if he took any civics or history classes in high school. Even a high school dropout would know that no state can pass any laws that would prohibit the enforcement of federal laws. Just ask the operators of medicinal marijuana stores in the greater Los Angeles area about federal drug enforcement and state laws.

Unfortunately, the overtaxed citizens of Texas will be forced to pay for The Loon’s idiotic introduction of legislation that is laughable at best. Even if The Loon’s legislation was passed and signed into law by Gov. Perry, it would be immediately struck down as being unconstitutional by a federal judge.

Congrats Stevie; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of America’s most accomplished Lunatics; you are far too humble.
