Attorney James Walsh of New Haven, CT; ethical misfit

The state of Connecticut provided James O. Walsh with a law license in 1973.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found James guilty of the following misconduct.

One matter involving Nancy Cotto-Bowles and Mr. Bowles, related to the preparation of a mortgage instrument.

James found it acceptable to act as a notary when he falsely claimed that Mr. Bowles appeared before him when he signed the mortgage document.

Because Attorney Misfits in Connecticut are held to a much lower standard of conduct, James’ notary public seal was not voided, which would likely have been if the miscreant was a non-attorney.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished James by gifting him with another complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. January 2013) James practices with Lasala, Walsh, Wicklow & Velardi PCC at 168 Bradley Street in New Haven, Connecticut.
