Attorney Edward Burwell of Houston; repeat offender

The state of Texas presented Edward Chamberlain Burwell with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from South Texas Law School.

The 334th District Court of Harris County found Edward guilty of the following misconduct

Failed to keep his client informed about the status of the client’s legal matter
Failed to provide competent legal representation (moron)

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Edward’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. Several years earlier, Edward received a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Edward by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license. In truth, the comedians sitting on the District Court didn’t actually mete out any meaningful punishment to Edward.

As we speak (ca. January 2013) Edward practices at 5151 Katy Freeway in Houston, Texas.
