Attorney V. Antonio Aninao of Houston; ethical hobbit

The state of Texas presented V. Antonio Aninao with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from Boston University Law School.

An evidentiary panel of the District 4-C Grievance Committee found Antonio guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Neglected a legal matter entrusted to him
  2. Failed to communicate with client
  3. Failed to abide by client’s requests regarding representation
  4. Commingled client funds with personal funds
  5. Failed to promptly deliver funds lawfully belonging to client to client
In one matter, Antonio found it acceptable to refuse to abide by his client’s decision to settle his personal injury claims. Of course Antonio absolutely knew that he had no right to so act.

As a consequence of her misconduct the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Antonio by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license. In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t actually mete out any meaningful punishment to Antonio.

As we speak (ca. January 2013) Antonio practices at 1001 Texas Street in Houston, Texas.
