Attorney Michael Halbfish of Woodbridge, NJ; unethical moron

The state of New Jersey presented Michael R. Halbfish with a law license in 1997.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Michael guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Engaged in negligent conduct
  2. Negligently misappropriated client trust funds
  3. Commingled client funds with personal funds
  4. Committed numerous trust account recordkeeping violations
  5. Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
In one matter, Michael agreed to represent a client but did not file a lawsuit in a timely manner. He also failed to serve the lawsuit for almost seven months after he finally filed it. As a result of Michael’s gross negligence and incompetence, the client’s lawsuit was dismissed for lack of prosecution.

To make matters worse, Michael did not advise his client of the status of his case and failed to withdraw from the case when it became clear he could not adequately and/or properly represent the client.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers sitting on the New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics punished Michael by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. January 2013), Michael practices at 245 Main Street in Woodbridge, New Jersey.
