Attorney James Burden of Montclair, NJ; ethical dwarf

The state of New Jersey presented James Edward Burden with a law license in 1991.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found James guilty of the following misconduct.

James grossly neglected a client’s personal injury case. James acted negligently in failing to record a judgment he had obtained on his client’s behalf against a defendant who subsequently filed for bankruptcy protection.

Additionally, James did not inform the client that he failed to file and record the judgment and that no proof of claim had been filed on the client’s behalf with the bankruptcy court.

As a consequent of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics board punished James As we speak (ca. December 2012) James practices with Smith Mullin PC at 250 Claremont Avenue in Montclair, New Jersey.

On its website at www.smithmullin.com, there is no mention of the misconduct engaged in by James. Apparently, the Smith Mullin firm decided to conceal this information so as to not limit its future victim pool.
