Attorney Alfred Gellene of Denville, NJ; repeat offender

The state of New Jersey presented Alfred V. Gellene with a law license in 1979.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Alfred guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Engaged in gross neglect
  2. Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  3. Failed to communicate with client
  4. Failed to give proper notice to trial court
As one would suspect, this wasn’t Alfred’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. On two separate occasions Alfred received complimentary reprimands and on another occasions a complimentary admonishment for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

Alfred engaged in gross neglect when he failed to timely file three (3) appellate briefs on behalf of several clients (victims). In two of the matters, Alfred saw fit to not communicate with his clients.

Alfred also failed to appear in court to show cause and did not notify the court that he would not appear.

As a consequent of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics board punished Alfred by gifting him with his third (3rd) complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. (December 2012) Alfred practices at 35 West Main Street in Denville, New Jersey.

On his self-serving website at www.gellenelaw.com, Alfred fails to mention the misconduct aforementioned. Apparently Alfred chose to conceal said information from prospective clients for fear that it would limit his future victim pool.
