Attorney Edward Ryan of Burr Ridge, IL; crook
The state of Illinois presented Edward Francis Ryan with a law license in 1968.
The Disciplinary Commission found Michael guilty of the following misconduct.
While employed at a law firm, Edward shifted time that he and other attorneys recorded on behalf of a client to other timekeepers, so that the bills that were sent to the client did not show the full extent of the time he had spent on the client’s case.
Edward subsequently filed copies of the fabricated legal bills with a court in support of his request for court –ordered attorney fees.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Edward by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. December 2012) Edward practices at 902 Burr Ridge Club in Burr Ridge, Illinois.
