Attorney Matthew Aylworth of Eugene, OR; ethical dwarf

The state of Oregon provided Matthew R. Aylworth with a law license in 2007.
The Oregon State Bar found Matthew guilty of the following misconduct
In one matter, Matthew’s firm represented Mid-America Credit Management (“Mid-Am”) in a lawsuit against Sheri C. Stephens-Rodriguez-Hartel (“Sheri”). Shortly thereafter, Matthew learned that Sheri hired attorney Michael Baxter to defend her.
Three months later, Matthew discovered that Mid-Am intended to dismiss the lawsuit against Sheri. At the same time, Matthew acknowledged in a conversation with attorney Baxter that if the lawsuit was dismissed, then Sheri was entitled to recover her reasonable attorney fees and costs. The next day, Baxter sent a statement of attorney fees and a proposed settlement regarding this issue to Matthew.
Two weeks later, Matthew signed and sent the court a  the lawsuit and inaccurately represented that the dismissal was without costs to any of the parties. At the same time, Matthew asked the trial court to dismiss the lawsuit without costs to any of the parties.
Matthew then violated court rules when he failed to service a copy of the proposed court order to attorney Baxter three days prior to submitting it to the court. Matthew also failed to serve a copy of the notice on Baxter. Several days later, the trial court then signed the proposed judgment.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Matthew by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (ca. December 2012) Matthew practices with Daniel N. Gordon PC at 4023 West 1st Avenue in Eugene, Oregon.
