Attorney Lawrence Ward of Pentwater, MI; forger, misfit
The State of Michigan provided Lawrence Graham Ward with a law license in 1972.
The Attorney Disciplinary Board found Lawrence guilty of the following misconduct.
In one matter involving a divorce action, Lawrence neglected or refused to institute a divorce action pursuant to a retainer received by the wife. Subsequently, Lawrence falsely represented to the husband that an action for divorce had been started and a judgment dissolving the marriage had been entered by the trial court.
Lawrence then prepared, executed and delivered to his client a sham judgment of divorce which was a forgery that Lawrence had prepared. The client (victim) then remarried, relying on the false assurances of Lawrence and the forged court document he provided to her.
Because Attorney Misfits in Michigan are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Lawrence was never criminally charged with forgery.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Attorney Disciplinary Board punished Robert by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. December 2012) Michael practices at 24 Kenneth Street in Pentwater, Michigan.
