Attorney Robert Barron of Colorado Springs; Dumbo

The state of Utah presented Robert J. Barron with a law license in 1999 after he graduated from Oklahoma City University Law School.

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme Court found Robert guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Failed to provide competence representation (moron)
  2. Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  3. Failed to communicate with client
In one matter, Robert was hired to assist a sibling of a U.S. citizen apply for an immigration visa. At the time, there was a bout a 12-year waiting period for an immigrant visa and a petition needed to be filed to place the visa applicant on the waiting list.

Robert erroneously instructed the client regarding the proper forms to be filed and the filing process. Robert told the client he was checking to obtain the correct filing information but he failed to comply with the client’s written requests for status updates or provide further information to the client.

Robert also failed to diligently pursue the filing information he client needed to enable Robert to file the petition and start the visa application process.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Robert by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (December 2012) Robert practices with The Law Offices of Robert J. Barron at 128 South Tejon Street in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
