The state of Florida provided Richard William Reno with a law license in 1998.
The Florida State Bar found Richard guilty of the misconduct set for the below. .
Richard filed a report with the Wakulla County Sheriffs Dept claiming he was the victim of identity theft. After an investigation, the reporting officer believed the report was false and forwarded that information on to the State Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
Several months later, Richard was charged with giving false information to a law enforcement officer regarding commission of the crime of Identity Theft. After a jury trial, Richard was found guilty.
As a consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Richard the Criminal by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. December 2012) Richard will again be practicing in the Crawfordville, Florida area beginning on January 4, 2013.
