Attorney Cara Richert of Vernon, CT; ethically inept

The state of Connecticut provided Cara S. Richert with a law license in 1988.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Cara guilty of the following misconduct
  1. Failed to keep client reasonably informed about status of cases
  2. Failed to respond to client inquiries
  3. Failed to return client files to client after being fired
  4. Failed to respond to grievance committee (Up Yours, said Cara!)
Cara represented New England Adjustment Services, Inc. (NEAS) in collection matters for several years. Subsequently, NEAS stopped using Cara’s legal services for regular work but allowed her to continue handling active collections matters.

After NEAS fired Cara, they demanded that she forward their files to a new attorney. Cara failed to do so despite repeated requests from NEAS and the new attorney.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Cara by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. November 2012) Cara practices with Nicholas & Richert at 53 Windsor Avenue in Vernon, Connecticut.
