Attorney Rashmi Airan-Pace of Miami; ethical elf

The state of Florida presented Rashmi Airan-Pace with a law license in 1999 after he graduated from Columbia University Law School.
The State Bar of Florida found Rashmi guilty of the following misconduct.
  • Improperly shared attorney fees with non-attorney
  • Failed to communicate with numerous clients
In one matter, Four clients hired Rashmi to represent them regarding loan modification services and paid the following amounts to her for said representation.
  • Stacy Peppers paid $2,100
  • Doris Rodriguez paid $1,695
  • Jose Zuniga paid $2,700
  • Kathy Lewis paid $1,500
In each instance, Rashmi subcontracted the loan modification work to a non-lawyer entity. Rashmi was later ordered to reimburse the four clients for the amounts listed above.
In another matter, Rashmi agreed to act as a closing agent for a real estate developer who owned condominium conversion projects in Tampa and West Palm Beach. The developer/client was N. John Allan who was a resident of Scotland. Allan wired $10,000 to Rashmi’s trust account as a deposit on the purchase of several condominium units.
Subsequently, Allen requested the return of the $10,000 as he was no longer interested in purchasing the units. Rashmi then refunded the $10,000 but in the process didn’t send it to Allen, but instead sent it to a real estate broker in London.
As a consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Rashmi by gifting her with a complimentary 45-day suspension of her law license. .
As we speak (ca. November 2012) Rashmi practices at 6705 SW 57th Avenue in Miami, Florida.
On her self-serving website at www.airanpace.com, Rashmi makes no mention of the misconduct set forth above. Apparently, she and her firm felt it was better to conceal this information so as to not limit their future victim pool.
