The Attorney Disciplinary Board found Earl guilty of the following misconduct.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Attorney Disciplinary Board punished Earl by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (ca. November 2012) Earl is employed by the Legal Aid and Defender Association, Inc., at 613 Abbott Street in Detroit, Michigan.
In one matter, Earl was appointed to represent a defendant in the appeal of his criminal conviction. Earl filed to file a timely notice of appeal; failed to timely file an appellate brief, and failed to keep his client informed about the status of his appeal.
In another matter, Earl was appointed to represent another defendant in the appeal of his criminal conviction. Early absolutely failed to file any post-conviction motions in the trial court, failed to file the required notice of appeal; and failed to keep his client informed about the status of his appeal.
