Attorney Howard Greenspan of Lynnfield, MA; moronic liar

The state of Massachusetts presented Howard L. Greenspan with a law license in 1977.

The Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers found Howard guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Failed to provide competent legal representation (moron)
  2. Failed to respond to repeated calls from client
  3. Failed to file lawsuit prior to statute of limitations expired
  4. Made materially false statements to client
In one matter, Howard was hired to represent a client in regards to personal injuries suffered as a result of an auto accident. The fee agreement called for Howard to receive one-third of any monies paid to his client. Howard then filed a lawsuit in East Boston District Court. He then had a copy of the lawsuit properly served on the defendants. During the next year, Howard failed to take any further action on his client’s lawsuit.
Due to Howard’s negligence, the trial court dismissed the client’s case. Even though Howard received notice from the court that it would dismiss the case if he didn’t prosecute the claim, Howard took no action on his client’s behalf. After the client fired Howard, the trial court granted the successor attorney’s motion to revive the case.

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Howard’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary private admonition for engaging in the following misconduct.
  1. Misrepresented (lied) to client that he had filed lawsuit on client’s behalf
  2. Failed to provide appropriate accountings to his client
  3. Failed to communicate with client
  4. Failed to return client’s files despite repeated demands
  5. Failed to take action on client’s behalf before statute of limitations expired
  6. Initially refused to cooperate with Bar Counsel (Up Yours, said Howard!)
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Bar Overseers punished Howard by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. November 2012) Howard practices at 200 Broadway in Lynnfield, Massachusetts.
