In the recent past after being assigned to a case in Toledo by his mentor Chief Justice
 Thomas Moyer, Judge Richard McQuade presided over a hearing to determine whether a crooked lawyer friend was entitled to attorney fees.
During that hearing, Judge Richard McQuade was provided with irrefutable copies of certified court records proving that his crooked attorney friend had billed two people for the time it took him to travel from his office in a Toledo suburb to the courthouse in downtown Toledo.
When confronted with this drop-dead documentary evidence, Judge Richard McQuade ruled that it was not relevant in proving that his attorney friend was a certified crook.
Judge Richard McQuade’s findings were understandable given his provable track record (ca. 1992-2002) of defrauding the State of Ohio by billing for hours he never worked. This misconduct pales in comparison to Judge Richard McQuade billing
 two counties for eight hours work on the same day.
Additionally, public records prove that Judge Richard McQuade was engaged in serial frauds from 1992 through 2002 by billing various counties (his favorite being Lucas County – Toledo) for travel and meal expenses he never incurred.
