The state of Michigan provided Charles A. Hass with a law license in 1972.
 
A Tri-County Hearing Panel found James guilty of misconduct on three separate occasions as set forth below.
 
Charles’ 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

 
Charles borrowed $10,000 from a client with interest at 10% to be secured by a mortgage. In do so, Charles failed to advise the client to obtain advice from an independent attorney regarding the loan transaction.
 
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar punished Charles by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
 
As a consequence of his misconduct, Charles was gifted with a complimentary reprimand.
 
Charles’ 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree
 

In a divorce matter, Charles failed to advise his client that the documents he drafted were being submitted to someone else for re-drafting at an additional cost. Charles was also found guilty of the following misconduct involving the same client matter.
  1. Failed to respond to opposing counsel’s letters
  2. Failed to advise his client that opposing counsel filed a motion to hold client in contempt
  3. Failed to advise his client that a hearing regarding the client’s alleged contempt had been scheduled by the trial court
  4. Failed to respond to opposing counsel’s motion for contempt on client’s behalf
  5. Failed to advise his client that the contempt motion had been granted
  6. Failed to advise client that opposing counsel had submitted a proposed contempt order allowing him seven days to respond
  7. Failed to advise client that the court entered an order holding the client in contempt and ordered the client costs/expenses in the amount of $4,300
As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar punished Charles by gifting him with his second (2nd) complimentary reprimand.
 
Charles’ 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  1. Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
  2. Neglected a legal matter entrusted to him
  3. Failed to keep client informed about the status of legal matter
  4. Failed to explain matter to client to extent necessary for client to make informed decisions re: representation
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar punished Charles by gifting him with his third (3rd) complimentary reprimand.
 
As we speak (ca. November 2012) Charles practices at 26085 West 6 Mile Road in Redford, Michigan.
