Attorney Martin Klaper of Charleston, SC; ethical dwarf

The state of Indiana provided Martin Jay Klaper with a law license in 1971.

The Indiana Disciplinary Commission found Mark guilty of the following misconduct.

Martin, then a partner in the Indianapolis law firm of Ice Miller, was hired by a client to handle a wrongful discharge claim against a corporation. Martin absolutely knew that the corporations was being represented in all legal matters by its general counsel’s office, but nonetheless he contacted a director of the corporation and explained to him the claim and his client’s demands.

After learning of this improper contact, the corporation’s general counsel advised Martin to direct all further communications regarding his client’s claims to the general counsel.

Subsequently, that client’s claim later settled, but Martin was later retained by another client to have a similar claim against the same corporation. Martin again contacted the same director to discuss with him his new client’s claim.

It is apparent that Martin the Moron isn’t capable of understanding the prohibition against contacting a party who is represented by an attorney.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. November 2012) Martin practices in the Charleston, South Carolina area.
