Attorney Calvin Parks of League City, TX; ethical goblin

The state of Texas presented Calvin Deshon Parks with a law license in 2005 after he graduated Texas Southern University Law School.

A panel of the District 5-B Grievance Committee found Calvin guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Calvin was hired to represent a client in a divorce case. However, he failed to prepare the necessary documents to transfer title of properties awarded to his client in the divorce case. Calvin also failed to file a Qualified Domestic Relations Order (QDRO) with the trial court on behalf of his client as required.

The Committee ordered Calvin to pay restitution of $3,548 to his client (victim).

As a consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee punished Calvin by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license. In truth, the comics sitting on the committee didn’t actually mete out any meaningful punishment to Andrew.

As we speak (ca. November 2012) Calvin practices at 2925 Gulf Freeway South in League City, Texas.
