Attorney Andrew Gass of Houston; ethical dwarf

The state of Texas presented Andrew Gordon Gass with a law license in 1975 after he graduated from South Texas College of Law.

A panel of the District 4-F Grievance Committee found Andrew guilty of the following misconduct.

Failed to file required response to grievance committee (Up Yours, said Andrew!)
Allowed the balance of trust account to fall below amount belonging to client

In one matter, Andrew was hired to represent a client in a personal injury matter. Subsequently, Andrew settled the client’s med-pay claim with her own insurance carrier, but failed to remit payment of the remaining funds to any medical care providers.

As a consequence of his misconduct the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee punished Andrew by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license. In truth, the comics sitting on the committee didn’t actually mete out any meaningful punishment to Andrew.

As we speak (ca. November 2012) Andrew continues to practice in the Houston, Texas area.
