Attorney Ivan Schwartz of San Diego; repeat offender

 
The state of California provided Ivan Barry Schwartz with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from Calfifornia Western School of Law in San Diego.
 
The California Bar Court found Ivan guilty of misconduct on two occasions as set forth below.
 
Ivan’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree 

  1. Misappropriated (stole) client funds
  2. Numerous violations of client trust account requirements
  3. Failed to maintain required balance in client trust account
  4. Bounced several checks
  5. Misconduct involved multiple acts of wrongdoing
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California Bar Court punished Ivan by gifting him with a 60-day suspension of his law license
 
Ivan’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree 

  1. Misappropriated (stole) client funds
  2. Failed to perform legal services competently (moron)
  3. Failed to maintain client funds in required trust accounts
  4. Failed to promptly pay client funds to clients upon receipt
  5. Entered into an illegal fee agreement
  6. Represented clients with adverse interests (conflicts of interest)
  7. Committed acts of moral turpitude
In one matter, Ivan misappropriated (stole) client funds from two personal injury cases, allowed t he balance in his trust account to fall below the required amount, did not pay a lien for more than three months and commingled funds in his t rust account.
 
In another matter, Ivan lied when he told his client several times that he had filed a medical malpractice case when he had not done so and then entered into an illegal fee agreement with the same client.
 
As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California Bar Court punished Ivan by gifting him with a 180-day suspension of his law license
 
As we speak (ca. October 2012) Ivan practices with the Law Office of Ivan Schwartz at 501 West Broadway in San Diego.
