Attorney Patricia Horner of Toledo, OH; One of the good Gals!

The state of Ohio provided Patricia Horner with a law license in 1988 after she graduated from the Washburn University Law School.

Investigated Pheils, et al for stealing transcript from Gaines among other thefts – asked Phil why he didn’t file criminal charges against Pheils -

Over the years, Patricia has volunteered to act as an investigator for the Toledo Bar Association in investigating ethics complaints lodged against local attorneys.

In one matter and after an exhaustive investigation, Patricia discovered that a local attorney had perpetrated a fraud on Gaines Reporting Services by obtaining a copy of a transcript without paying for it.

The fraud perpetrated by the attorney involved him telling Gaines that he was not going to waive his signature. This meant that Gaines had to provide the transcript to the attorney for his review for any inaccuracies and for him to then sign off and return the transcript to Gaines.

When Gaines provided the transcript to the atorney, he then had his secretary make a copy of it and then immediately returned it to Gaines without ever paying for the stolen copy.

Patricia made her findings despite being subjected to a personal attack by the dishonest attorney. Despite her findings, the Toledo Bar Association refused to take any action against the offending attorney.

Congrats to attorney Patricia Horner for having the courage and fortitude for vigorously investigating and reporting the egregious misconduct of a fellow attorney.

As we speak (ca. November 2012) Patricia practices at 2333 North Summit Street in Toledo, Ohio.
