Attorney David L. Chapman of Pasadena, CA; ethical elf

The state of California provided David Lansing Chapman with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from Western State University Law College in Woodland Hills, California, which is a 4th tier school dedicated to serving losers that couldn’t get accepted into mainstream schools like UCLA, Pepperdine, USC or Stanford.

The California Bar Court found David guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Failed to perform legal services competently (moron)
  2. Failed to comply with prior probation orders
  3. Failed to return numerous client telephone calls
David’s Hyperbolic (BS) Defense

David had the chutzpah to defend his misconduct by claiming in mitigation that he suffered three fractures to an ankle and broke his leg that required several surgeries. David obviously missed his calling as a standup comedian! Unfortunately the buffoons sitting on the Bar Court gave Dave credit in mitigation for this BS.

As one would expect, this wasn’t David’s 1st Bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary reproval and was placed on probation for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California Bar Court punished David by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2012) David practices with the Law Offices of David L. Chapman at 2245 East Colorado Street in Pasadena, California.
