Attorney James Reed of Morocco, IN; moronic loser

The state of Indiana provided James Robert Reed with a law license in 1989.

The Indiana Disciplinary Commission found James guilty of the following misconduct.

A client hired James to open an estate. James opened the estate and the court then appointed him personal representative. The estate had virtually no assets except for a piece of farmland valued at $64,000. James filed the inventory and appraisal documents almost one year after the estate opened.

James did not file the final accounting for the estate until eight (8) years after he opened the estate. During the time the estate remained open, three of the estate’s heirs died, with James then opening estates for two of the heirs and serving as their personal representative.

The heirs estates remained open for more than four years, unable to be closed because the original estate had not been distributed because of James’ gross negligence and incompetence.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court punished James by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. October 2012) James continues to practice in the Morocco, Indiana area.
