Attorney Christ Gaetanos of Buffalo; convicted tax cheat

The state of New York provided Christ Gaetanos with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo.

The Grievance Committee of the 7th Judicial District found Christ guilty of the following misconduct
  1. Engaging in illegal conduct
  2. Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law
  3. Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty
In late 2011, Christ was found guilty in Buffalo City Court of failure to pay New York State income taxes for a one-year period of time.

Christ was allowed to plead guilty to one count of income tax evasion in satisfaction of a felony complaint for failing to file income tax returns for three (3) years and for not paying the taxes he owed. Christ was sentenced to a conditional discharge.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits Grievance Committee of the 7th Judicial District punished Christ by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

It must be comforting to the folks in Buffalo to know that there is yet another convict practicing law in their area compliments of the comedians sitting on the Grievance Committee.

As we speak (ca. October 2012) Christ practices at 350 Main Street in Buffalo, New York.
