Unfortunately, Judge David Stowe is the sitting Probate Judge in Traverse City, Michigan.
In early 2008, Judge David Stowe used nearly $70,000 in public money to settle a threatened lawsuit from a former woman who worked at the court for Judge David Stowe.
Had the threatened lawsuit not been settled, Judge David Stowe’s personal relationship with the woman would have been exposed. In truth, Judge David Stowe would have been exposed for the loser, womanizer, ethical gnome and louse that he is.
Judge David Stowe had the audacity to use court funds belonging to the Probate Court (aka, public) that he personally controlled to head off a possible whistleblower lawsuit by Michael Stein, the former top administrator for the 13th Circuit Court’s Family Division.
Judge David Stowe fired Mr. Stein in March 2007 shortly after he learned that the State Court Administrator’s Office had closed a probe of alleged impropriety between Judge David Stowe and Cynthia Curry, a former family court employee who worked under [literally apparently] Stowe from 2002 to 2005. An investigation by the Traverse City Record Eagle into the hush-money from Judge David Stowe to Mr. Stein uncovered an intimate relationship between Judge David Stowe and Cynthia Curry that began in late 2002.
Judge David Stowe sadly won election to the Probate Court in Nov. 200. Judge David Stowe met Cynthia Curry in 2001 while he was presiding over her divorce from Ronald Curry.
By April 2002, Cynthia had a job as a juvenile probation officer in Judge Stowe’s court. During this time, Judge David Stowe continued to supervise and preside over custody matters involving Cynthia’s divorce case.
Judge David Stowe cemented his position as an ethical leper-con and certified moron and scofflaw when he obtained a job at the courthouse for Cynthia. This obscene conduct allowed Judge David Stowe to screw Cynthia while at the same time he was screwing the taxpayers of Traverse City and the State of Michigan. A triple-screwing compliments of Judge David Stowe if ya will.
It should be noted that Judge David Stowe was having married at the time he first started screwing Cynthia Curry. It wasn’t until June 2003 that Judge David Stowe filed papers to divorce his wife.
As expected, the enablers and apologists at the Michigan Judicial Commission never took any action against Judge David Stowe for his egregious misconduct. Likely they just gave him the proverbial “thumbs-up” for proving once again that judges are “held to a lower standard of conduct” than you and I.
