Attorney Marc Duxbury of Carlsbad, CA; convicted ambulance chaser

The state of California provided Marc Allen Duxbury with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from California Western School of Law in San Diego.

The California Bar Court found Marc guilty of the following misconduct.

Marc was criminal convicted of a violation of the California Insurance Code that prohibits offering compensation for the referral of clients. Marc accepted one referral from an undercover police officer.

Rather than chase the ambulances himself, Marc paid others to perform this duty on his behalf. Marc sought referrals and paid for them even though he absolutely knew he was involved in criminal conduct. Put simply, Marc’s zeal to enrich himself (greed) was more important than complying with the law.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California Bar Court punished Marc by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2012) Marc practices with the County Law Center at 1901 Camino Vida Roble in Carlsbad, California, which is about 35 miles north of San Diego.
