Attorney Richard Becker of Wilmington, DE; repeat offender

The state of Delaware presented Richard D. Becker with a law license in 1991.

The Delaware Supreme court found Richard guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Failed to respond to client phone calls, letter and faxes
  2. Failed to provide written explanation to clients of how retainers were earned
  3. Failed to respond to ethics investigators (Up Yours, said Richard!)
  4. Failed to notify client of dismissal of No-Fault case
  5. Multiple violations of disciplinary rules
In one matter, Richard failed to file an under-insured motorist claim on his client’s behalf. Richard failed for six (6) years to keep the client reasonably informed about the litigation, and specifically failed to even advise the client that her case had been dismissed.

As one would expect, this wasn’t Richard’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a private admonition for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Delaware Supreme Court punished Richard by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. October 2012) Richard practices Becker & Becker, P.A. at 300 Delaware Avenue in Wilmington, Delaware.
