Attorney Michael Spizer of West Hollywood, CA; repeat offender

The state of California provided Michael Benson Spizer with a law license in 1964 after he graduated from the University of California at Berkeley Law School

The California Bar Court found Michael guilty of misconduct on several occasions as set forth below.
  1. Failed to return unearned fee (thief)
  2. Neglected legal matters entrusted to him
  3. Engaged in the illegal practice of law while license suspended
Michael has been disciplined on at least three prior occasions. He received a complimentary stayed suspension for legal matters entrusted to him, failure to communicate with clients or promptly return client files.

In another case, Michael received a complimentary reprimand for abandoning two clients. Within a year, he was again disciplined for practicing while his license was suspended, disclosing client confidences regarding a client he was romantically involved with.

As a consequence of his fourth bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California Bar Court punished Michael by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2012) Michael practices at 938 North Spaulding Avenue in West Hollywood, California.
