The state of California provided Suzanne Louis Harris with a law license in 1970 after she graduated from the University of California Law School.
The California Bar Court found Suzanne guilty of misconduct on several occasions as set forth below.
In three separate matters, Suzanne failed to perform legal services competently (Dumbo) in a wrongful death case, failed to properly maintain her client trust account, and violated the terms of two early disciplinary probations.
In the wrongful death action, Suzanne negotiated a structured settlement for her client, but did not file the required minor’s compromise with the trial court, open a blocked account for receipt of the annuity payments, or cash or distribute her client’s annuity checks.
Suzanne was previously disciplined as follows for engaging in a variety of misconduct.
As a consequence of her misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California Bar Court punished Suzanne by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 4-year suspension of her law license. Again, the comedians sitting on the Bar Court failed to mete out any meaningful punishment to Suzanne.
