Attorney Anthony Chambers of Detroit; deadbeat loser

The state of Michigan provided Anthony T. Chambers with a law license in 1985.

In early September 2012, the Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission filed misconduct charges against Anthony.

Anthony claims to be a premier criminal defense attorney based on the fact that he represented the Underwear Bomber and some other high-profile defendants.

A judge recently issued a bench warrant for Anthony’s arrest after his wife accused him of owing more than $7,000 in child support. Anthony is also charged with over-billing (bilking) his clients (victims) for fees he wasn’t lawfully entitled too.

In one matter, David Root, who lives in New York, hired Anthony to represent his son on a drug charge in January 29, 2011. Root wired a $10,000 retainer on Jan 31, had his last phone conversation with Anthony on Feb 3 and Anthony failed to respond to any subsequent calls or emails thereafter.

Root’s New York attorney, who recommended Chambers to Root, couldn’t get in touch with him. He sent an email to Anthony that said, “Anthony, you’re making me look bad. Send me and update, please.” Root told the Commission he hired another Michigan lawyer for peanuts, and his son got probation.

In another matter, Shannon Williams of Nebraska hired Anthony to defend him for dealing marijuana. Williams told the Commission that Anthony flew out to see him three times and that he paid him $53,000. Williams went on to complain that Anthony never performed legal services justifying the $53,000 he paid Anthony.

Denying he ripped off his clients, Anthony had the chutzpah to tell the Problem Solvers that “even though he earned the fees he was paid, he will send back some of the money.” Put simply, Anthony the Loser is denying he billed clients for services he didn’t perform, but because he’s like a really nice guy, he’s going to reimburse them anyway.

And lastly, Anthony refused to cooperate with the Commission’s investigation, which resulted in a finding that he is guilty as charged. In truth, Anthony told the Commission, “Up Yours!).

As we speak (ca. September 2012) Anthony practices with Chambers & Associates PLLC at 535 Griswold Street in Detroit, Michigan.

Since the Grievance Commission and the Michigan Supreme Court have a distinguished record of acting as apologists for Attorney Misfits, its highly likely that at worst Anthony will receive a complimentary reprimand for his misconduct.
