Attorney Mark Mangiarelli of Cornelius, NC; ethically indigent The state of North Carolina presented Mark Mangiarelli with a law license in 2002.
The North Carolina State Bar charged Mark with the following misconduct.
In several closings, Mark failed to timely submit final title opinions and premium payments to obtain title insurance for the owners and/or lenders. Mark also failed to respond to inquiries from borrowers and lenders concerning outstanding policies.
In three closings, Mark disbursed funds for closings from one client trust account prior to transferring certain funds for those closings from his or other trust account, thereby improperly using other clients’ entrusted funds.
Mark was the closing attorney in various real estate closings in 2010 and 2011. In these closings he represented by the buyer and the lender.
As a consequence of his criminal conduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Commission punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 3-year suspension of his law license. In truth, the comedians sitting on the Commission didn’t mete out any real punishment to Mark.
