Attorney Lorraine Hoffman of Tigard, OR; moronic liar

The state of Oregon provided Lorraine D.Hoffman with a law license in 1944.

The Oregon State Bar found Jan guilty of the following misconduct.

At the time of her misconduct, Lorraine was employed by Stan Bunn and Associates, P.C. During this time, the firm represented Klau-Med, Inc. in corporate matters and Alex Wright, the former president of Klau-Med, on other matters.

In one matter, Klau-Med was involved in litigation vs. Body Works Medical. During the litigation, Kimberly Wright terminated the services of the lawyer who represented Klau-Med in said litigation. The services were terminated because the lawyer advised the trial judge that Ms. Wright’s husband, Alex, resided in Florida, but that he would make Alex available for deposition. At this time, Alex was incarcerated in the federal penitentiary in Sheridan, Oregon, and Ms. Wright didn’t want the opposing parties in this litigation to know this.

Unable to find another attorney, Klau-Med hired Lorraine and her firm. Klau-Med and Alex Wright instructed Lorraine not to divulge Alex’s incarceration to the defendants in the lawsuit. When the defendant’s noticed Alex for a deposition, Lorraine knowingly misled them by representing that Alex lived in another state. She intentionally concealed this material fact from defense counsel that Alex was incarcerated.

After the trial court dismissed the lawsuit, Lorraine submitted an affidavit to the court in support of Klau-Med’s motion for rehearing on the defendant’s motion to dismiss. In this affidavit, Lorraine perpetuated the false impression that Alex could not be subpoenaed in an Oregon proceeding and that he was unavailable for deposition.

Because Attorney Misfits in Oregon are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Lorraine was never criminally charged with perjury or obstruction of justice.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits at the Oregon State Bar punished Lorraine by gifting her with a complimentary 30-day suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. September 2012) Jan practices at 6825 SW Sandburg Street in Tigard, Oregon, which is a suburb of Portland.
