The state of Ohio presented Harry Arthur Sargeant, Jr. with a law license in 1958 after he graduated from Ohio State University Law School.
 
Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court found Harry guilty of failing to totally ignore ruling on cases while sitting as a Sandusky County Common Pleas Judge.
 
Tiffany Wehring appealed Judge Sergeant’s order modifying child support. Over the course of several years, Tiffany’s attorney wrote to Judge Sargeant asking that he enter a decision after conducting a hearing on the matter. It took Sargeant over four (4) years before he issued a two-and-one-half-page decision on the matter.
  1. When Ann Burchett filed a complaint for a divorce, it took Sargeant more than a year to enter a decision after he conduct a hearing on the matter.
  2. In another divorce case, Sargeant failed to enter a decision on the matter for twenty (20) months.
  3. In another case a plaintiff filed a complaint for a legal separation from her husband. It took Judge Sargeant over two (2) years to issue a written order granting the separation despite the fact that he granted it during a hearing two years earlier.
  4. In a personal-injury lawsuit Judge Sargeant failed to take any action in the case of 18 months.
  5. In a worker’s compensation claim, Sargeant failed to any action in the case for 22 months.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Harry by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
 
As we speak (ca. June 2012) Harry practices at 289 West Main Street in Bellevue, Ohio, which is about 40 miles southeast of Toledo.
